A Few Photography Tips For Taking Better Pictures
Depending on what you’re taking pictures of, there are some photography basics that you should follow. Provided here are a few photography tips that would apply to most any situation.
The first of our photography tips that beginners often overlook is to mix up the photo shooting between landscape and portrait mode. This is one of the photography basics taught in film school. Changing your angle from horizontal to vertical can give you a much different-looking shot.
The next one of our photography tips is to get down on the ground. So many people shoot their subjects straight on that they miss the wonderful angles that can be created by getting down on the ground and shooting up at a different angle. These shots work especially well when taking photos of babies or pets.
Next, try some shots where you fill the frame with your subject. Whether you’re taking a shot of flowers, a dog, or person’s face, make it fill the whole frame. These make good frame-worthy photos.
Another thing that enhances your photographs is if you can limit a busy background behind a subject. Try to get the subject to post in front of a more subtle backdrop if at all possible so as to make the background less distracting.
One final quick tip that sounds counterintuitive is to use your flash outdoors on a sunny day. You’ll be surprised how using your flash outdoors can get rid of shadows on your subject’s face.
