Waterproof digital cameras have existed since 2002, and nowadays you can find many available on the market. Let me introduce one of them, Olympus Stylus 550 waterproof camera.
Olympus Stylus 550 waterproof camera is an attractive and pocket-friendly camera. The camera is available in crystal blue, pure white or midnight black. The camera is lightweight, has aluminum exterior and can be submerged up to ten feet under water.
The camera offers red-eye fix and in-camera editing features such as shadow adjustment edit, resizing and cropping, which will allow you to edit photos directly in the camera.
The Olympus Stylus 550 WP has NTSC, PAL audio and video output connectivity for viewing images on a television. And images can be transferred to a PC over a USB 2.0 high-speed connection.
However, this camera has also it’s disadvantages:
- Absence of a wide-angle lens
- Absence of optical stabilization
The camera comes with a USB cable, audio and video cable, manual, wrist strap, lithium-ion battery (LI-42B) and charger (LI-41C), OLYMPUS Master 2 Software CD-ROM, warranty card and MASD-1 (microSD Adapter).
