Canon G-series have attracted the attention of lots of consumers. And in this post I am going to talk about the latest digital Canon camera–the Canon Powershot G11.

Like its predecessor (the Canon PowerShot G10), this point-and-shoot camera is compact and feels good in hands. It weighs 12.52 oz. The width is 4.41 inches and the height is 3 inches. The control layout of the camera is almost the same as the Canon PowerShot G10′s.

But this new one has some amazing refinements: unlike the old model, the Canon Powershot G11 involves such new features as white balance tuning, low light, quick shot modes and also 3200 ISO sensitivity. Its 10 megapixel camera takes high-quality pictures and is good at taking low-light shots. The G11 supports both JPEG and RAW file formats.

The G11′s i-Contrast can raise the brightness of pictures. This digital Canon camera model has 26 shooting modes. The scene modes include night snapshot, beach, landscape, portrait and aquarium. So you can enjoy taking all kinds of scene pictures.

This digital camera also has 28-140 mm equivalent zoom lens.

The digital camera has a set of balance tuning such as daylight, cloudy and underwater. You can choose one of them according to your needs and mood. With this digital camera you can not only take pictures but also watch movies of 4 GB maximum length.

The G11 dimensions are 112 x 76 x 48 mm. The design of the camera is black rectangular. It’s stylish and attractive to the eye.

Digital Photography review writes that “The quality of images delivered by the PowerShot G series are so good that we use G10 images within our editorial library, and our photographers using the G series models do so because of the image quality and flexibility they provide.”

And in the end, there is still one more thing you should know about this camera–it has a waterproof case and a teleconverter. The starting price is $449 (check the prices regularly).
