Canon PowerShot A495 Review
On January 5, Canon announced the release of two new digital cameras–the Canon PowerShot A490 and Canon PowerShot A495.
In this post I want to focus on the A495 model. The camera appeared on the market in February at about $130. Today it is available in three different colors–silver, blue and red.
Canon PowerShot A495 looks very comfortable and pretty. The rounded corners make the camera look even more stylish and attractive. This 10 megapixel camera weighs approximately 6.17 oz. and is 3.68 x 2.43 x 1.20 in dimensions. The camera has 3.3x optical zoom and 115,000-dot LCD.
Some additional features of Canon PowerShot A495 include:
- Smart Auto with Scene Detection Technology–the camera is able to detect up to 18 scenes, which include portrait, night snapshot, kids and pets, indoor, face self-timer, beach, snow, fireworks and so on.
- Smart Flash Exposure–relieves you of the duty to fix the flash level.
- Face Detection–the camera is able to detect multiple faces, assuring they are all in focus.
- Eye redness correction.
- Ability to shoot quality photos in places with low-light.
The feature that makes A495 stand out among other digital canon cameras is the YouTube upload function, which enables camera users to upload videos to YouTube directly from the camera.
To sum up the review of this digital canon camera, I can say that Canon PowerShot A495 is designed to ease the process of shooting images, making it more pleasant and comfortable.
